Tito Rodriguez's paintings conjure figures — human, hybrid, and otherworldly — radiating luminous color and psychological depth, hovering between the visceral and the dreamlike. Based in New York City, he is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Painting (1996). His work has been exhibited in and around New York City and internationally.

It begins with surrender — to intuition, chance, and the wild agency of materials. Figures arise, neither fully human nor animal nor dream.

I paint where flesh dissolves into color, color into presence, where the body opens into something elemental and untamed— unmapped and alive.
